Welcome to Teaching with Wanderlust! I’m so glad you’re here! This little corner of the world is all mine and I’m so excited to share fun and adventurous things with you! I hope to begin sharing adventures with you soon, but until then, I have a YouTube channel with a backlist video from my trip to Ireland in 2016 and a more recent trip to Charleston, SC. I encourage you to check out my videos and travel (virtually) with me!
Why blog?
I’ve been wanting to start a travel blog for a long time. The number one reason for this is to store my memories. I’ve tried using paper journals and scrapbooks and I just don’t stick with them like I’d prefer. I have a personal/teaching blog that I haven’t touched in a while, but there are a few travel posts over there documenting some of my adventures. When creating this new blog, I rediscovered those posts and had such a great time reminiscing over those journeys. I hope that this blog will do the same for me, and everything will be in one place! I also rarely print photos anymore. In the digital world we live in, printed photos seem like such a foreign thing!
With a blog, I can keep my photos and memories all in one place. I’ve already missed out on storing some amazing adventures on this blog – and now I won’t miss any more! Whether is an international journey or a road trip to the next town over, I want to document all my adventures on this blog!
What makes this blog different from all the hundreds of other travel blogs on the internet?
For me personally, this blog something that I hope to use and love for many, many years to come. The main intention for this blog is to document my personal travels. But by bringing you along for the journey, I hope to introduce you to some new places and teach you interesting things about each location. I wish we could all travel the world together, but until then, I hope to use this platform to educate and inspire others to find and grow their love of travel.
